Developmental Edit
In this edit, I will closely evaluate your story’s structure, world-building, character arcs, continuity, pacing, flow, and voice. I will also provide technical edits as needed, utilizing Track Changes. You will receive a thorough editorial letter, margin notes, and two weeks of follow-up email support to address your questions.
Price: $0.02 per word USD (e.g. $2,000 for a 100,000 word manuscript)
Timeline: 3-5 weeks (Possibly adjusted for manuscripts over 100,000 words.)
Copy Edit
Utilizing Track Changes and comments in the margins, this edit will target grammar, spelling, syntax, clarity, and continuity. I will also focus on writing flow and readability, and pay minimal attention to format. You will receive a short editorial letter, and I will provide two weeks of follow-up email support to address your questions.
Price: 0.014 per word (e.g. $1,400 for a 100,000 word manuscript) USD.
Timeline: 2-5 weeks (Possibly adjusted for manuscripts over 100,000 words.)
Proofread
This should be done after all other editing is complete, as the final step before querying or publishing. The proofread will only address technical errors (grammar, spelling, punctuation, typos, etc.). This is the final polish.

Short Story Developmental Edit
You will receive a story assessment letter that addresses the strengths and weaknesses of the project as a whole, plus copy edits, thorough margin notes, and two weeks of follow-up email support to address your questions.
Price: $150 USD for stories up to 5000 words, $250 for stories 5,000-10,000 words.
Timeline: 2-3 weeks
Sample Chapters Assessment
An assessment of 1-3 chapters, up to 13,000 words. The first three chapters are the most important in terms of making an immediate good impression. I will offer an editorial letter, copy edits, margin comments, and 1-2 follow-up emails to address your questions (within two weeks after the edit assessment is turned in).

Ten-Page Assessment
When you’re cold-querying literary agents, the agency submission guidelines will often request to see the first ten pages along with your query letter. You want to make the best impression you can within those parameters!
